Our Story


Angie and Julie both grew up in Veedersburg, Indiana and only one year separated them in high school. They reunited one day when taking their children to school at Traders Point Christian Academy. Over the years their friendship has grown.

Angie’s first experience of an Olive Oil store was over 3 years ago while on vacation in Wisconsin.  At that moment she knew that a store like this was needed in Zionsville, but with kids in college timing wasn’t right. Julie’s first experience was very similar because three years ago, she also discovered an olive oil store while on vacation.

Fast forward three years later, and they found themselves on vacation together in Wisconsin. They both walked into an Olive Oil store and turned to each other at the same time and said “Zionsville needs a store like this!”

Angie then said, “I don’t want to do it by myself!” and Julie replied “I don’t want to do it by myself, either! Let’s do it together!”

And the Zionsville Olive Tap was formed.

As we age, we are looking for ways to add healthy foods into our lives. Julie Wooldridge

Julie has called Zionsville her home for many years, raising 6 children. Her first experience of an olive oil tasting room was in Michigan while visiting family. She began to research about the health benefits of olive oil, learning about the high polyphenols and anti inflammatory aspects.. At the olive oil tasting room she experienced her first taste of cold pressed, fresh olive oil. The taste of fresh pressed oils were delicious and she experienced the polyphenol burn an olive oil produces after tasting. So her journey began for incorporating olive oil into her daily routine.


Angie McCloskey

Angie has lived all her adult life with her husband in the Zionsville area, raising two sons. She has a passion for cooking healthy and from scratch. She fell in love with flavor infused Balsamic vinegars when she first discovered a tasting gallery while on vacation. At the time she was trying to drink store bought vinegar and was having a difficult time doing it daily because of the awful taste. Once she was exposed to fresh apple cider vinegar and balsamic vinegars, it was a game changer. Now she was dreaming up recipes for drinks that included vinegars and creating sugar free salad dressings on a daily basis.
